The Pathway to Success: PMA Offers Lean Printing Seminar in Heidelberg

A hands-on workshop from 27 to 29 April 2011 on how to improve efficiency in print shops
 
The Print Media Academy (PMA) offers managers, supervisors and key employees of print media companies a three-and-a-half day lean printing seminar. The workshop will take place in Heidelberg from April 27th to 29th, 2011.The workshop aims to increase dwindling profit margins and uncover untapped print production capacities.

Participants learn how a philosophy of avoiding waste, empowering employees and increasing productivity can make their business much healthier. The emphasis is on synchronizing workflows, raising the standard of service and adding more value for customers.

Detlev Dierkes, Head of Print Media Relation at the Print Media Academy, has a long experience in the area of print & publishing and is going to address the below mentioned topics:
- How to transform a business by focusing on customer benefits?
- How to introduce lean concepts that will change a corporate culture?
- How to competitively position a company?
- How to assess a company's potential for implementing lean production?
- How to develop a lean strategy based on lean tools?

Using practical examples, the seminar instructor will describe the successful implementation of lean printing in various printshops worldwide.

The seminar in English language will be held at the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg, Germany, from 27 to 29 April, 2011. The seminar price is 1,750 Euro plus VAT and includes a visit to the Wiesloch-Walldorf factory, documentation and seminar catering. Accommodation and travel expenses are not included.
